Terry Albright Kenny

Terry Albright Kenny was born in Martinsville, Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (B.A., cum laude, 1984) and attended Wake Forest University School of Law (J.D., 1987). She was licensed to practice law in North Carolina in 1987.

While in law school, Ms. Kenny served as Executive Editor of the Wake Forest Law Review. After graduation Ms. Kenny served as a clerk for Justice Burley B. Mitchell, Jr. of the North Carolina Supreme Court. She is a member and former President of the Gaston County Bar Association. Ms. Kenny is also a member of North Carolina Bar Association.

Ms. Kenny primarily practiced family law, including divorce, property division, post separation support, and alimony. She also handled other domestic and general practice matters, including but not limited to, domestic violence, termination of parental rights, separation agreements, wills, powers of attorney and living wills.

In January of 2016, Ms. Kenny retired from the practice of family law and now devotes all of her time to saving and protecting the animals of Gaston County. Ms. Kenny is involved in animal rights efforts throughout Gaston County and the surrounding areas and is the founder and director of the Gaston Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic, located in Gastonia, North Carolina.
